Coupon Mom says buy when you don’t need it

This is something that might be a good idea if you are buying a staple like laundry detergent or pasta. With a coupon you could get a much better price and in this case it makes sense to buy even if you have plenty at home. Just check the best before date on the product to make sure you will have enough time to actually use it.

If you get coupons for things that you don’t actually use all that much you will not be saving money with this strategy. Be strict and stick to the staple coupons. The rest are just there to make you buy even more!

Lots of paper to keep track of

The reason that some Moms do so well with the paper coupons is that they are organized. When they get the coupons they will date them so that they can see fast if they are still relevant when time comes for shopping. The thing to remember here is that you will have to collect a lot of coupons to get to the ones you will eventually need. If you are not good that keeping a designated space for these things you might create a big mess without saving much money.

So is Coupon Mom really worth it?

If you are serious about saving money on your groceries you will get a lot of help from this site but don’t expect great miracles. To save money on your weekly purchases you must be consistent and also be willing to invest some planning and thought into your schedule.
