Birthday Present for a 1 Year Old

The first birthday of your child, grandchild or best friend’s apple is coming up and you can’t seem to come up with any good ideas for a present for a 1 year old. What should you give a baby that hardly talks, walks or seem to be interested in books other than to chew at them. The child obviously has a lot of toys, fluffy animals and tons of other things stacked up neatly in his room. Here are some ideas for birthday presents for a 1 year old that might actually be appreciated by the child!

Keys
Forget about the big plastic baby keys in the toy store! Go get the real deal. If you go to a key maker he will have a lot of trashed keys that didn’t turn out right. They still look completely like the real deal and guess what, kids love keys! Even 1 year old babies have understood that these little metal thingies are something very important since they NEVER get to keep them to play with. You will make this baby’s day by giving him a set of real keys. Just make sure that he thinks that they are yours or someone else’s.

Pocket Light
On, off, on, off, on, off and so on… There is nothing more fun in life than that, at least not when you turn 1 year old. Get a pocket light with a big switch and the fun can begin. This gift obviously needs some supervising due to the batteries involved but it could be the perfect distraction and a great help to parents that need baby’s fingers occupied with something every now and then.

Anything that Looks Like Your Thing!
It should be apparent that anything that looks like something that you would use is a thrill for a baby. Toddlers love to get a hold of your cellphone, camera and anything else that you don’t want them to tamper with. Find a non-working phone, camera or anything else that they want and wrap it. This is an excellent birthday present for a 1, 2, and 3 and 4 year old!
